Craft Your Map, Gather Your Charms & Read the Signs

What if the everyday objects around you could become a personal oracle?

A paperclip, a button, an old game counter, a tiny figurine or a forgotten charm. Even the simplest objects can take on extraordinary meaning when we begin to work with them intentionally.

In this online Samhain crafting gathering, we'll explore the magick of charm casting, creating our own personalised casting maps and curating a collection of charms that we can use to explore questions, challenges and possibilities.

We'll discover how ordinary objects can become symbols, how their positions and relationships can spark new insights, and how to develop your own intuitive language for interpreting what you cast.

You'll be able to use your new oracle to explore a particular intention or challenge you're currently facing, or to seek guidance and inspiration for the months ahead.

No previous experience of charm casting or divination is needed. Bring your curiosity, your creativity and a willingness to see familiar things in new ways!

 

✨ What to Bring

For your charm casting map:

• A piece of paper or card (A3 or A4 works well), or fabric or cloth
• Pens, pencils or markers

Optional: paints, stickers, collage materials, stamps or anything you'd like to decorate your map with

For your charm collection:

• Gather around 10–20 small objects. These can be absolutely anything that catches your attention, such as:
• Paperclips and safety pins
• Buttons, beads and coins
• Dice
• Old board-game counters or miniature figurines
• Keys and key charms
• Craft charms or jewellery findings
• Small stones, shells or other natural treasures
• Tiny toys or miscellaneous objects from your drawers

 

You'll also need:

• A small pouch, tin or container to keep your charms together
• A notebook or journal to record your interpretations
• An intention, question or challenge you'd like to explore (optional)

Don't feel you need to buy anything! Part of the magick is discovering the possibilities hidden in objects you already own.
