This Week: Make Space for What Nourishes You

This Week's Soul Vitamins

This week invites you to turn your attention towards what genuinely nourishes and supports you.

After last week's Autumn Equinox and fiery Aries Full Moon, the Last Quarter Moon in Cancer brings a softer energy. Cancer draws our attention towards home, belonging, emotional wellbeing, and the people, places, and practices that help us feel held.

As the Moon wanes, this is an opportunity to notice what you have been carrying emotionally and whether you still need to carry it.

Old worries. Responsibilities you've automatically taken on. Other people's expectations. Feelings you've pushed aside because there was always something more urgent demanding your attention.

Cancer reminds us that tending to ourselves is essential maintenance.

This week, ask yourself:

What am I carrying that feels emotionally heavy?

What helps me feel safe, supported, and restored?

Where could I make more room for what genuinely nourishes me?

As we move further into autumn, the natural world begins drawing its energy inward. You can follow that rhythm too.

Create a little more space around yourself.

Return to what feels comforting.

Pay attention to what replenishes you.

Let yourself be nourished.

✨ Weekly Focus Prompt:

"This week, I release what drains me and make space for what restores me."

🌗 Last Quarter Moon in Cancer Ritual – Saturday 3rd October

Put down what you've been carrying.

Light a white, silver, or blue candle

Place a bowl of water beside you

Take a few slow breaths and ask: "What am I carrying that I no longer need to hold?"

Write down whatever comes to mind

For each thing, ask whether it is yours to carry, yours to change, or yours to release

Tear the paper into small pieces and place them beside the bowl

Dip your fingertips into the water and say:

"I release what has become too heavy. I make space for peace, nourishment, and rest."

Dispose of the paper afterwards and pour the water onto the earth

Notice how it feels to put something down.

🌿 Ally of the Week: Chamomile

Energetics: Peace | Comfort | Restoration

Chamomile carries a gentle, soothing energy that fits beautifully with Cancer. Drink it as tea, add it to a bath or foot soak, or simply work with its scent while you journal or rest.

Let it remind you that softness can be deeply restorative.

🕯️ Mini Ritual Challenge – Notice What Nourishes You

Each day, consciously choose one thing that replenishes you.

  • Prepare something comforting to eat or drink

  • Spend time with someone who leaves you feeling more like yourself

  • Create a cosy corner and spend ten quiet minutes there

  • Go outside and notice one sign of autumn

  • Choose an earlier night, slower morning, or quieter evening

At the end of the week, notice which practices made the greatest difference. The more you recognise what nourishes you, the easier it becomes to choose it.

📓 In your Magickal Living journal, explore:

What have I been carrying that I'm ready to put down?

Which people, places, and practices leave me feeling genuinely restored?

What would change if I treated my own nourishment as something worth prioritising?

This week, allow yourself to follow autumn's invitation inward.

Release what feels heavy, return to what comforts you, notice what restores your energy, and make room for the people, places, and practices that help you feel at home in yourself.

Make space for what nourishes you, and let that nourishment strengthen you for the season ahead.
