This Week's Soul Vitamins
This week brings us to a threshold as the Autumn Equinox marks the turning of the season, a moment of almost equal light and darkness before the nights begin to lengthen. The abundance of summer is giving way to autumn's invitation to gather in, take stock, and decide what deserves to travel with us into the darker months.
Then, the Full Moon in Aries brings fire to the week.
Aries is bold, instinctive, courageous energy. Under the illumination of the Full Moon, it can reveal where you've been hesitating, holding yourself back, or waiting for a certainty that may never arrive.
Together, these energies create a powerful moment of reflection and choice.
Ask yourself:
What am I grateful to be carrying forward from this season?
What am I ready to leave behind as the wheel turns?
Where is something within me asking for a braver response?
The Equinox reminds us that everything has its season. There are times to grow, times to harvest, times to release, and times to rest.
Aries reminds us that even as the outer world begins its descent towards winter, there is still a fire within you.
This week, honour both.
Gather what has nourished you, release what has completed its season, and choose where you want to place your fire next.
✨ Weekly Focus Prompt:
"This week, I honour what has been and courageously choose what I carry forward."
🍂 Autumn Equinox Ritual – Honour the turning.
Light two candles, one representing light and one representing darkness
Place something seasonal between them, such as an apple, acorn, conker, fallen leaf, or small branch
Reflect on everything this past season has given you
Write down three things you are grateful to have grown, experienced, learned, or received
Then ask: "What has reached its natural ending?"
Write down anything you are ready to leave with the passing season
Thank it for whatever it has taught you, then safely tear up the paper
Sit for a few moments between the two candles, honouring yourself at this seasonal threshold
You don't have to rush into the next season, take a moment to pause at the threshold and notice who you are as you cross it.
🌕 Full Moon in Aries Ritual – Choose your fire.
Light a red, orange, or white candle
Ask yourself: "Where am I waiting when I already know what I want?"
Write down whatever immediately comes to mind
Notice any fears, doubts, or excuses surrounding it
Choose one that you are ready to release
Tear up the paper and say:
"I release what keeps me small. I trust myself to meet what comes next."
Choose one courageous action you can take before the end of the weekend
Courage grows every time you act on what you already know.
🌿 Ally of the Week: Apple
Energetics: Abundance | Wisdom | Gratitude
Apples carry the abundance of the autumn harvest and have long been woven through folklore, mythology, and magick. Eat one slowly and consciously, bake with them, place one on your seasonal altar, or cut an apple across its middle to reveal the five-pointed star hidden within.
Let it remind you that every harvest contains the seeds of what comes next.
🕯️ Mini Ritual Challenge – Mark the Turning
Create one small act this week that acknowledges the changing season.
- Gather fallen leaves, acorns, conkers, or other seasonal treasures
- Prepare a meal using autumn produce
- Change something in your home to welcome the new season
- Take an evening walk and notice how the light is changing
- Light a candle as darkness falls and spend a few moments reflecting on what you want to carry into autumn
Let yourself notice the turning rather than allowing the season to quietly pass you by.
📓 In your Magickal Living journal, explore:
What am I grateful to be harvesting from the season just passed?
What feels complete and ready to be released?
Where is life asking me to be a little braver?
This week, stand consciously at the threshold.
Honour what has grown, give thanks for what has sustained you, release what has completed its season, and keep your inner fire burning as the nights begin to lengthen.
Honour the turning, choose your fire, and step into the new season intentionally.
