Imbolc: Saturday 1st February
Full Moon in Leo: Sunday 1st February
New Moon in Aquarius: Tuesday 17th February
Theme of the Month: Stirring the Flame & Stepping into the Light
February is a month of quiet ignition.
Imbolc and the Leo Full Moon arrive hand-in-hand, lighting the first sacred spark of the year.
From winter’s stillness, the fire begins to flicker, calling forth courage, creativity, and radiant self-trust.
As the month matures, the Aquarian New Moon brings future vision, fresh ideas, and the courage to break old patterns.
This is a month to honour where you’ve been, reignite your heart, and make bold, soul-led choices.
🌕 Moon Phases & Rituals
1st February – Imbolc & Full Moon in Leo
✨ Ritual: Flame of Becoming
Imbolc marks the first signs of spring, the quickening in the soil. Leo brings radiant visibility. Together, they offer a potent moment to awaken your inner fire and honour the light within.
You’ll need:
- A white or gold candle
- A small mirror
- A symbol of a seed (real or imagined)
Light your candle and hold the mirror to your heart. Gaze into it and say:
“Within me, light is stirring. I am the seed. I am the flame.”
Speak aloud one truth you’re ready to live more boldly.
Place the seed symbol somewhere visible, such as an altar, desk, or pocket, to remind you of what is beginning.
17th February – New Moon in Aquarius
✨ Ritual: Future Seed Spell
Aquarius invites innovation, liberation, and collective dreaming.
This New Moon is ideal for setting intentions that serve both personal vision and the wider community.
You’ll need:
- A blank piece of paper
- A silver or blue pen
- A small jar or envelope
Write a vision for your future self, what you see, know, feel, and share.
Fold it three times and say:
“This vision is wild, wise, and true.
May it unfold in right rhythm, with clarity and joy.”
Seal it in the jar or envelope.
Open it again on the Aquarius Full Moon (later this year).
🪄 Monthly Spell: The Brigid’s Flame Blessing
Use during the first week of February (Imbolc week)
Light a candle and name it “Brigid’s Flame.”
Say: “May this flame bless my home, my work, and my becoming.”
Pass your hands above the flame (safely) and then over your heart.
Let the candle burn for a while each evening, feeding your inner fire.
