Full Moon in Taurus: Wednesday 5th November | New Moon in Scorpio: Thursday 20th November
Theme of the Month: Rooted Resilience & Sacred Surrender
November draws us into the deep stillness.
After the veils of Samhain, we descend into soul-soil.
The Full Moon in Taurus invites embodied gratitude and the anchoring of our energy into what truly sustains.
The Scorpio New Moon brings shadow work, ancestral healing, and potent transformation. What will you compost now, to bloom later?
This is a month to slow down, shed illusions, and tend to what is real, raw, and rooted.
🌕 Moon Phases & Rituals
♉ Full Moon in Taurus: Ritual: Rooted Gratitude
Taurus invites us to pause, connect with the senses, and ground into the pleasures of the present.
You’ll need:
- A favourite fruit or seasonal food
- A green or gold candle
- A cosy place to sit or lie down
Light the candle.
Take a few slow breaths and feel your body in space.
Hold the food and say:
“I honour the earth that feeds me. I receive this blessing with open hands.”
Eat mindfully, savouring each bite.
Let the ritual become an act of devotion.
Optional: write a gratitude list and bury it beneath a plant or tree.
♏ New Moon in Scorpio: Ritual: The Shadow Seed
Scorpio asks us to go within, to release control, and to trust the mysteries we cannot yet see.
You’ll need:
- A dark bowl of water or mirror
- A seed, pomegranate, or small black stone
- A black or deep purple candle
Light the candle and gaze into the water or mirror.
Hold your seed or stone and say:
“From this dark, I plant a power unseen.
I trust the death. I await the dream.”
Place the seed or stone on your altar until the next Full Moon.
🪄 Monthly Spell: The Spell of Still Strength
Use anytime between 5th–20th November
Gather three small stones (from the earth if possible).
Name each one aloud as: Stability, Sovereignty, and Surrender.
Arrange them in a triangle and say:
“Strong as stone, soft as soil, deep as soul,
I rise through dark, and I am whole.”
Keep them with you, or under your bed, through the waning moon.
🧘♀️ Guided Meditation: Rooting Deep, Rising Strong
Use between 15th–22nd November
A guided journey to descend inward, and discover your resilience and adaptability.
📖 November Journal Prompts
At the Full Moon (5th)
What stabilises me when everything else shifts?
Where am I being called to soften into presence?
At the New Moon (20th)
What truth have I been avoiding that is ready to be seen?
What am I ready to release, even if I don’t yet know what will replace it?
🍂 November Portal: Descent into the Deep
This month belongs to the Crone, to the compost, to the root systems hidden beneath fallen leaves.
It’s a time to let go of outer striving and come home to what endures.
This descent is a sacred rhythm.
Let yourself rest.
Let yourself regenerate.
🖤 Scorpio Descent Ritual: The Mirror of Truth
You’ll need:
- A mirror
- A scarf or dark cloth
- A question you’re ready to ask
Place the mirror in front of you and cover it with the cloth.
Say:
“I am ready to see the truth hidden in shadow.”
Remove the cloth and gaze into the mirror.
Let the answer arise without force.
Journal what comes, then say:
“I honour what is, and I honour what will be.”
